Pétanque and France are a bit like Ireland and Gaelic sports; disciplines that don't interest many people and in which they are unplayable. But during these World Championships, the Blues lost their marbles.
Dylan Rocher and France take the door to the World Pétanque Championships
We won't hide it from you, the French team terrified us in these World Pétanque Championships. The Blues remained on three demonstrations against Burkina Faso in the sixteenth (13-0), Mali in the eighth (13-1) and Cambodia in the quarter (13-0). A total of 39-1 over the last three matches, we have already been much more reassured. And as if that wasn't enough, Dylan Rocher sent a shot from another planet, of which only he has the secret in the world of pétanque.
In the semi-finals, the French team faced a pétanque leader, namely Madagascar. And one thing is certain, the Malagasy people have just risen in our esteem. To reach the final, the Blues had to get rid of the latter, but it was obviously the opposite that happened. As surprising as it may seem, France is humiliated on its own soil (Dijon) in ITS sport. Dylan Rocher's teammates were shamelessly swept aside (13-3 defeat) in just eight ends. Or how to start the day in the best possible way.
