The 14th season of “Voice of Germany” has ended. Now it is clear who won the casting show. Meanwhile, there is bad news for the station.
In the “The Voice of Germany” final, Jennifer Lynn beat her competitors and was crowned the winner of the casting show. Shortly before midnight her win was announced: she now has a record deal and a new car.
The final was characterized by emotional performances and songs written by the candidates. Juror Yvonne Catterfeld was particularly impressed by eventual winner Jennifer Lynn. She sang her self-composed song “Light the sky” and played the piano at the same time. “You play the piano the whole time and look into the camera. I ask myself: How do you do that?” Catterfeld marveled at the candidate, who was part of Samu Haber’s team.
The other coaches were also visibly moved by their protégés’ achievements. Moderator Thore Schölermann remarked to Mark Forster: “You’re looking like a proud coach dad!” Forster himself turned to his candidate Kathrin German with the words: “I know that if I get so emotional now, you’ll start to cry.”
In addition to the finalists’ individual performances, there were also duets with the coaches and guest appearances by Ray Dalton, Calum Scott and David Garrett.
For Sat.1, however, not everything is peace, joy and pancakes – on the contrary. The 14th season of “The Voice” was the weakest season of the format to date, with an average market share of just under ten percent in the target group. And for the final show, only 360,000 young viewers tuned in, meaning the market share in the key target group fell into the single digits. Overall, “The Voice” reached another 1.36 million people on Friday – the same number as the finale of the 13th season.
