A singing chick, a nervous stage newcomer, a German pop fangirl, an experienced soul queen and two powerful-voiced pop stars: Who will be “The Voice of Germany 2024”? At the end, a blonde power angel cheers the loudest.

They searched for weeks and listened, discussed and sorted things out for weeks. Now the jury of “The Voice of Germany” is sure that they have the best six candidates together for the big season finale. And for the first time in the history of the format, six newcomers can hope for victory and the coveted title of “The Voice of Germany 2024”. There were: Kathrin German from Heppenheim and Jenny Hohlbauch from Esslingen for Mark Forster’s team, Sebastian Zappel from Fürth for Yvonne Catterfeld’s team, Ingrid Arthur from Berlin for the Kamrad team and Emily König from Salzgitter and Jennifer Lynn from Regensburg for Samu Haber’s team.

On this evening, many fans and connoisseurs of the show are also looking at the duel of the generations. With 16-year-old Kathrin German and 57-year-old Ingrid Arthur, two singers made their way to the finale who, if there were a family connection, could easily be granddaughters and grandmothers. Star violinist David Garrett is also wide-eyed as he opens the show evening with a hit medley, the six candidates and a lot of fanfare.

Ingrid sets the bar high

While the sparks are still flying and the last clouds of smoke are drifting over the heads of the studio guests, the first finalist is already getting ready for her entry into the final. Ingrid Arthur was already on stage before the birth of her coach Kamrad was yet to be thought of. And Ingrid has a lot of soul in her blood. Whether alone (“I Got More”), following in the footsteps of U2 together with Coach Kamrad (“One”), or as part of the star quartet with hit guarantor Callum Scott (“Roots”): the former background Grammy winner singer Cissy Houston delivers and sets the bar high.

But the competition is moving along. Jennifer Lynn impresses with a lot of self-confidence, somnambulistic piano playing (“Light The Sky”) and a present vocal power that even impresses an experienced business expert like Samu Haber. The blonde Finn sings the Odell song “Another Love” together with Jennifer and Emily König, who also performs energetically. You can tell that newcomer Sebastian Zappel is nervous. Only when the 25-year-old steps onto the stage with his trusted format mentor Yvonne Catterfeld does the tension subside a little. The reward: thunderous applause after stirring campfire vibes (“FourFiveSeconds”).

The title goes to Regensburg

That leaves chick Kathrin German, who really works hard and with her final song “Another Forever” is definitely one of the highlights of the evening. But she can’t get past Jennifer Lynn’s vocal power and calling fans. And so this year the crown ends up in the hands of a woman who, with a lot of power, a lot of passion and even more feeling, ignites a musical firework of emotions that no one can escape on this evening. We say thank you, good luck and congratulations on the kickstart into a new life, dear Lynn!
