Noa Lang had it old-fashioned on Friday evening against FC Twente. The PSV left winger brought his team back to the level early in the match and then also delivered a beautiful heel assist on Ismael Saibari. Afterwards, Lang appears in front of the camera full of bravado ESPN.

PSV fell behind in the tenth minute due to a phenomenal free kick from Sem Steijn. Lang corrected that ten minutes later with an individual action. The left winger dribbled menacingly in from the left and pressed into the short corner. “I often shoot him in the short corner, maybe I should vary more, but he was in it well,” Lang responds.

At the end of the first half, Lang was involved as a scorer in Saibari’s 3-1. Lang beautifully passed the ball to the attacking midfielder with a heel, who broke through towards the FC Twente goal.

Long is asked by reporter Vincent Schildkamp which action he liked better: his goal or the heel assist. “My assist,” says Lang decisively. “Because hardly anyone gives that to anyone, haha. You don’t see that often in the Netherlands, do you?”, Lang asks rhetorically. “You say that modestly,” Schildkamp responds sarcastically. “You don’t see that often, do you?”, Lang repeats.

“No, it’s a nice goal,” Lang continues. “Luckily Ishmael kills him too.” The left winger has an excellent connection with Saibari. “Often when I score he gives the assist and vice versa.” Saibari also provided the assist for Lang’s goal with a simple pass. “I also said to him: ‘Your assists on me are often easier, just in my feet’, haha.”

PSV will visit Stade on Tuesday in the Champions League. The people of Eindhoven seem to be in absolute top form. “Top form, what is top form?”, Lang responds. “We have scored eleven times in the last two games, but we also conceded a lot of goals, which has to be improved.”

“Everyone knows: if we have it on our hips, there is no stopping it, not in the Netherlands anyway. In the Champions League we also make it difficult for everyone.”
