Saint-Nicolas continues his tour of nursery schools. As tradition dictates, the boss of the schoolchildren goes each year to meet the students in the schools to distribute sweets to the good children. This Thursday, Saint-Nicolas came to the Victor Hugo nursery school in Sarreguemines.
Son N°1 – Saint-Nicolas went to meet the children of the Victor Hugo nursery school
Dressed in red and white, with his crozier and miter, Saint-Nicolas is greeted in a nursery rhyme by Lennon and his comrades.
It was good. I liked to sing. I sang “Au clair de la lune”.
Eliott was rather amazed to meet the boss of the schoolchildren.
Yes, because I had never seen Saint Nicholas. I really liked the gifts.
Saint-Nicolas was able to attend a children's show in French and German.
-They always put on a great show for me; what’s more, they are well-behaved children. This is my goal, to see the children every year, and to see how they have progressed, by bringing them little treats, chocolates. Plus, seeing them dance is a real spectacle.
And inevitably, there is always a little stress according to Véronique Bircker teacher and director of the Victor Hugo nursery school.
They are impatient and a little excited. Afterwards, some feel stress at the idea of putting on a show in front of someone, or others know that Saint Nicholas sometimes comes with the whipping father, and they always ask questions about this character, to find out if he will come. For them, it is also a little worry to know if they will be well received by Saint-Nicolas.
After handing out treats to good children, Saint-Nicolas continued his tour of schools until Saturday when he will parade through the streets of downtown Sarreguemines from 5 p.m.
