The machine is launched. FIFA officially launched the Club World Cup with the draw for the competition on Thursday December 5 in Miami (United States). This new tournament will take place from June 15 to July 13 in the United States and will bring together the best European, Asian, American and also African clubs.
Fifa has promised a huge jackpot to the winner of the event. The institution, based in Zurich (Switzerland), took on the challenge of distributing at least the sum of 100 million euros to the winner, solely based on the sporting results of each team. That is, not counting the market pool (the figure based on the proportional value of each television market represented by the participating clubs). The objective for the institution is to make the Club World Cup the most profitable competition, ahead of the Champions League.

A billion deal with DAZN
The new formula for the most prestigious of European cups reserves a gain of at least 86 million euros, to which are added the potential bonuses linked to the results of the matches. A team that won everything would pocket a sum of around 110 million euros. A figure that Fifa hopes to exceed. Difficult for clubs to say no given the figures put forward.
For this, Fifa, always looking for new sponsors, can count on its first partners such as Bank of America, Hisense, Landmarkc or the Ab InBev brewery. But above all on the contract signed with the world broadcaster, DAZN. The British streaming service, holder of Ligue 1 TV rights, invested 1 billion dollars (950 million euros) to broadcast the tournament. The platform also announced, Wednesday, December 4, that the Club World Cup will be broadcast free of charge on its platform worldwide.
