The FEI (International Equestrian Federation) has decided to send a strong signal. This Thursday, Sky reveals that the body has suspended Charlotte Dujardin from any official competition for a year. The three-time Olympic champion withdrew from the Paris Olympic Games after posting a video on social networks.

An act of violence that goes against equine welfare. “The cruel mistreatment of this horse by Charlotte Dujardin is horrifying and a shame for our nation,” David Kutern, an English politician, did not hesitate to declare.
-“An error of judgment”
Faced with the controversy, the rider spoke out on Instagram. She regretted “an error of judgment during a lesson”. “What happened was completely unusual and does not reflect the way I train my horses and my students,” assured the 39-year-old Englishwoman.
