After the signing of two agreements on working conditions, the UNSA Ferroviaire, the second freight union, announced that it was renouncing the renewable strike planned for December 11, 2024, reports RMC.
After the day of mobilization on November 21, the SNCF Freight unions announced a renewable strike from December 11, 2024. The latter will ultimately not be as followed as hoped after the decision of the UNSA Ferroviaire not to mobilize its members.
The CFDT should also renounce the mobilization
Announced on Saturday, November 9, the four unions had agreed on a renewable mobilization in the face of “privatization in TER, Transilien and Intercités activities”they said in a press release. However, the UNSA has just withdrawn after having obtained two agreements on the future working conditions of freight agents who will be transferred to the private sector. According to information from RMC, the CFDT, the third railway union, should follow by formalizing the same decision.
Sud-Rail and the CGT, on the other hand, have indicated that they will maintain the strike of December 11. The two organizations being particularly representative in professions linked to the operation of traffic (drivers and crew chiefs), the mobilization will therefore be partly followed but not as much as the inter-union anticipated.
