Friday December 6 in Here it all begins…
Carla rejects Rose
At the Institute, Antoine shares with Souleymane the revelation that Rose made to him the day before: he could be Carla's biological father. Antoine is in shock because he always thought that Carla was Raphaël's daughter. However, no doctor certified him that he was sterile. A doubt remains and it will soon be resolved by the results of the DNA test that Angèle did behind her niece's back.
For her part, Rose is at the local café with Clotilde and Marc. They support and comfort her. Rose regrets not having spoken to Antoine about her doubts earlier. She also fears that Carla no longer wants to speak to her. Clotilde and Marc encourage him to speak to him with an open heart.
Rose decides to go to the Double A kitchen just before service to talk to her daughter. She apologizes to him, admitting that she should have told him about the notebook right away. However, Carla has difficulty believing a word from her mother. She begins to doubt her words about everything else she has said to him and wonders if she is not the toxic crazy person that Angèle describes. Deeply hurt, Rose leaves.
In the management office, Antoine hesitates to call Carla. He gives up when Clotilde enters to check on him and, above all, to plead her sister's cause. Antoine admits that he can't stand that Rose lied to him, especially when they met in Sète. Faced with Clotilde's insistence, Antoine tells her that she has no lesson to teach him given that she also lied to Jérémy about the identity of his father. Annoyed, Clotilde comes out of the office.
At the boarding school, Carla confides in Souleymane. Both admit that they would like to have the same father. Besides, they already have the impression that their relationship is that of brother and sister. Carla declares that she would like to talk to Antoine, but that she dreads the conversation. Souleymane encourages her to do so, pointing out that her father must be in the same state as her.
At the organic farm, Coline tells her mother that Rose and Carla had a heated argument in front of everyone at Double A. Angèle is content with it, convinced that everyone will eventually see the truth about Rose. Coline then recalls childhood memories where Raphaël was not nice to her. But Angèle assures that Rose was the source of all their problems. She adds that her brother dreamed of being a dad, unlike her, who never wanted children. Angèle is therefore convinced that it was Rose who abandoned Carla at birth.
At the end of the day, Antoine finds Carla near her car in the Institute parking lot. The young girl wants to talk to him. Antoine then declares that he intends to fully assume his role as a father and that otherwise, he will always be there for her. The verdict does not take long to come as Angèle arrives to give Carla the results of the DNA test…
Emi is inscrutable
In the locker room, Vic hears Mehdi and Tom complaining about Emi. They suffer from her lack of kindness and communication as chef of the laboratory restaurant. Vic comes to his defense and suggests that the boys invite him for a drink at the end of the day to break the ice.
After the restaurant-laboratory service, Emi takes stock with Mehdi, Tom and Quentin. They offer to go for a drink, but she refuses and instead suggests that they work on her new recipe idea for Christmas. She leaves them to take care of it alone, while she finds Rose and Enzo to take stock of her week.
Mehdi, Tom and Quentin therefore reluctantly stay at the Atelier. They struggle to decipher Emi's handwriting, who left them the list of ingredients and the steps of her recipe on a piece of paper. So they decide to cook the recipe based on what they can read.
Later, Emi comes back to taste their offering and realizes that they are all different. The boys admit that they had difficulty reading it. Finally, Emi finds that their proposals are interesting. As they finally consider putting away their aprons, the young woman asks them to stay and cook the recipe she initially had the idea for.
Lionel and Inès' plan takes shape
For Christmas, Hortense has decided to have a stand at the Institute where she plans to revisit lots of traditional desserts from this holiday season. Lionel comes to see her at the same time as Thelma. The latter wishes to apply to be one of Hortense's elves. The chef then specifies that she only accepts pairs.
Once Thelma leaves, Lionel suggests that Hortense take Zoé and Gary as a pair of elves. He tries to convince her by emphasizing that this would allow them to reconcile… and more if there are affinities. But Hortense takes the magic of Christmas very seriously and refuses to get involved.
Leaving the studio, Lionel meets Thelma in the corridor. She is asking Solal to be her partner elf. Lionel forbids them from applying together in order to make room for Zoé and Gary. But Solal and Thelma both think that Lionel's plan is a bad plan, especially because it is done behind the backs of those mainly involved.
Back home, Lionel admits to Inès that his plan fell through. His younger sister then has an idea: he will apply with Zoé to be Hortense's elves, then find a last minute excuse to be replaced by Gary!
A little later, Lionel suggests that Zoé apply with him to be Hortense's elves. Inès insists by affirming that her brother absolutely wants to spend time with family. Zoe accepts.
