“Come in, come in, little children, there is definitely room.” From Place Carnot to Place Stanislas, there is indeed no shortage of space. And young children and older ones alike will be able to come and gather along the route of the big parade. To welcome and cheer the great Saint Nicholas as it should be this Saturday, December 7.

This is THE event long awaited by the children of Lorraine. On Saturday, December 7, from 5:30 p.m., the grand parade of Saint-Nicolas floats, 2024 edition, will begin. At nightfall, the procession will leave from Place Carnot to reach via Place Saint-Epvre and the Place de la Carrière, the town hall, Place Stanislas, passing under the Héré arch.
A route long enough to allow the 20 floats from the communities of the Greater Nancy community of municipalities and the five street performance companies to be admired by young and old alike. Not far from 700 participants to liven up the parade and throw candies and bergamots to the most skilled spectators.
For those of you who will not be able to go there, France 3 Lorraine and France Bleu Sud Lorraine have planned to broadcast the parade live on the internet from 6:45 p.m., Saturday December 7. You will be able to admire the entire procession as it passes from Place de la Carrière to Place Stanislas. An hour and a half of regressive happiness.
The theme of the tanks this year 2024: “the imaginations of the future”. A future made of dreams on the edge of utopia, invaded by robots and intergalactic creatures in a more responsible and sustainable world. Enticing program, as it should be.
Like every year, the mayor of the city will hand over the giant keys of Nancy to the patron saint of schoolchildren and then a video-mapping will be projected on the facade of the city hall.
Rebelote on Sunday: street performance companies will enliven the entire pedestrian zone of downtown Nancy. A second opportunity to enjoy the show.
And some new features like gourmet hamlets and a giant flower garden. And above all the big return of the ice rink “synthetic, but slippery” according to the assistant for culture and major events in Nancy Bertrand Masson.
Will the work in Nancy be completed?
Bertrand Masson, guest of our television news Ici 19/20 Lorraine of November 13, affirms: “the work will almost be finished“. He takes the opportunity to remind you that public transport will be free on weekends and that the République car park will also be free on weekends.
