On April 30, 2023, two unknown men attacked a 39-year-old from Bottrop in an anteroom of a bank branch on Kirchhellener Straße. They threatened him with a knife and a gun – and demanded the money he had previously withdrawn. They then demanded that he withdraw more money, but he refused. One of the perpetrators is then said to have pulled the trigger with the weapon – fortunately no shot was fired. The 39-year-old remained uninjured.
Unfortunately, the investigations so far have not been successful – the public search from last autumn also did not yield any new clues. That’s why the investigators’ hope now lies in broadcasting the program “Aktenzeichen xy…unsolved”.
