The resources put in place are gigantic. Since Tuesday, around a hundred firefighters, soldiers and police officers have been searching for a woman who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Marguerite, a small town in Pennsylvania. On Monday evening, while Elizabeth Pollard, 64, was looking for her cat, she reportedly fell inside a 10 meter deep hole.
“This cavity wasn't there before. It probably formed when she stood on it“, indicates a police officer, Steve Limani, in the TF1 1 p.m. video visible at the top of this article. This small town in Pennsylvania is built on a former coal mine.
In recent hours, rescue teams have widened the hole to get inside and install microphones and cameras. “We spotted what appears to be a shoe, so we're very confident we're in the right place“, assures a person responsible for the operation.
