PEOPLE – Marc Lavoine was the guest on the show As an aside on Canal+ Tuesday December 3. The former juror of The Voice was notably questioned by Nathalie Levy about her new album, her childhood, but also about her romance with the ex-model turned TV presenter, Adriana Karembeu. The opportunity for him to also explain the widely relayed images in which the couple offered a languorous kiss in front of the photographers.
Asked about the song Can I say I love you again and its appearance ” obsolete “Marc Lavoine first responded. “I wondered if I could still have the courage to start again, to take the risk again, to make mistakes. I was tired. She wants to say something [cette chanson] but in my reality today, it no longer means anything. I am very happy”explains the singer.
The journalist then questions him about his desire not to hide his new relationship from the rest of the world. To which Marc Lavoine responds directly. After a joke – “to live happily, let’s lie down” -, he develops: “It’s new, I don’t know how to say it. I apologize if some people took this way of not being able to contain one's happiness the wrong way. I am a bit like a child who discovers an “improbable” thing. It may be unlikely to behave like that at my age, but there are things we can't control, that we can't master. »
“It fell into my lap and it’s quite fortunate”
Behind these words, a “justification” after their first appearance together on the red carpet of the “Concerto for Peace” at the Champs-Élysées theater in Paris on September 17. Marc Lavoine and Adriana Karembeu then kissed languorously in front of the photographers. They have since repeated this pattern several times, drawing criticism.
Marc Lavoine had already returned to these kisses, explaining for example to Figaro At Night : « qLeave me alone, that’s fine with me! A kiss provokes. Kissing a girl, being in love, provokes. Love is a provocation (…) I show it, because it is necessary to show it, it is to resist, love is resistance. We must not fall into the trap of malice. »
Reciprocally aged 53 and 62, Marc Lavoine and Adriana Karembeu have been living their love story out in the open for several months. “It fell into my lap and it’s quite fortunate”he concludes in As an aside on Canal+.
