The inter-union of retirees of Millau (Aveyron) does not appreciate the latest government announcements and intends to make it known. According to Free Middayshe calls for mobilization in the face of the fears that these measures cause for their future.
The union organization of retirees is mobilizing on December 3 in Millau then in Rodez, in response to the national call. This decision follows the declarations of Prime Minister Michel Barnier concerning the revaluation of half of inflation on January 1 (i.e. 0.9% for inflation at 1.7%) for all retirees, with a second revaluation in July for pensions below the minimum wage.
Figures for the Aveyron department, at the bottom of the national scale
The reductions in retirement pensions are being felt more strongly in Aveyron, where pensions are on average €1,286 gross (compared to €1,531 gross nationally). According to the inter-union pensions association, these figures have only gone down since 2021 and it is time to sound the alarm.
-Union members warn of the impoverishment of Millau retirees, easily observable in solidarity associations. At 2 p.m. this Tuesday, the movement will head towards Rodez, in front of the prefecture then in front of the office of MP Stéphane Mazars.
