South Korea's largest union called on Wednesday for an “indefinite general strike” until the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol, after the lifting of the martial law he imposed during the night.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, which has some 1.2 million members, called Mr. Yoon's attempt “ irrational and undemocratic measure,” believing that he had “signed his own end to power”.
