The end of year holidays are fast approaching. And who says festive period, says return of Cyril Lignac with his now flagship show Everyone in the kitchen: Holiday menus (M6). Always accompanied by his sidekick Jérôme Anthony, the 47-year-old chef will offer recipes accessible to everyone for Christmas, for example. But this year, the program will not be broadcast live.
It was during the first confinement that Everyone in the kitchen was born. A show that did good to viewers. Every evening, they could try to prepare the same dish as Cyril Lignac live. From a distance, he was accompanied by Jérôme Anthony, a personality (who changed with each issue) and anonymous people. Faced with the success of the culinary program, the sixth channel brought the program back every summer and at the end of the year. Thus, since December 2, 2024, the public can discover new recipes in Everyone in the kitchen: Holiday menus. On this occasion, Jérôme Anthony was the guest of Thomas Isle in Culture Mediaon Europe 1. “Starting from scratch and presenting a dish 20 seconds before the credits, it's really a challenge that Cyril takes on every day“, underlined the presenter at first. Then, he mentioned the novelty concerning him this year. For the first time, he will travel across France aboard a van. And, to find it, it was not a small matter: “It wasn't easy to find one that was on the public's level, that's why it took us so long to get there. There is a company that has developed a food truck for this show that folds out to the audience. We're on the ground, but everything is attached to a truck where now I have an oven, a fridge.”
Safety concerns in Tous en cuisine
This is not the only novelty of the season. If at its launchEveryone in the kitchen was broadcast live on M6, this is no longer the case. “The sound bugs, the technical problems are still there… We'll see them, we don't know a bit of what's happening, this is only for security reasons only. We are in the middle of cities, there are a lot of people around us, a few hundred, sometimes a few thousand and it's complicated to manage so many people (…) Last year, we continued to do it with a large security service following us, but despite everything, it was complicated to manage. There is always one or two who want to be smart“, admitted Jérôme Anthony. Thus, production can better control what is happening from now on, to the great pleasure of the team.
