This Tuesday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m., Sporting Club de Bastia will meet AC Ajaccio for the resumption of a derby interrupted on October 26 during the 10th day of Ligue 2 BKT. A meeting which will resume in the 42nd minute with a score of 0-0.
The conditions for this match are unprecedented. During the first act, referee Olivier Thual interrupted the match after incidents in the stands, before a violent storm and power cuts at the Stade Michel-Moretti forced the rest of the match to be postponed.
Since then, the LFP Competitions Commission has ruled: the derby will resume under very specific conditions, on the same ground, but behind closed doors.
The kick-off will be given in the 42nd minute, with a dropped ball for the Bastiais, in possession of the ball during the interruption. No pre-match protocol will take place, and players will not return to the locker room until the second half.
Despite these unusual adjustments, Sporting will have to demonstrate concentration and efficiency to swing this derby in their favor.
The two teams will start again on the basis of the numbers registered on October 26. However, adjustments are possible in the event of an injury noted by a federal doctor. Each coach will also be able to review their starting lineup, repositioning starters on the bench without this counting as a tactical change.
Christophe Vincent, injured on the Bastiais side, is replaced by Maxime Blé within the group of 18 players selected.
The cards distributed during the first part of the meeting remain valid. This is particularly the case for Huard and Everson on the Aceist side.
Every point will count to progress in this demanding Ligue 2 BKT championship. The Sporting Club de Bastia will be keen to show its character and assert its ambitions against its island rival, currently in the red zone.
Behind closed doors, the meeting will be followed live on SCB Radio from the Stade Michel-Moretti!
Challenge, Grow and Fight… FORZA BASTIA!
