Support the ecological transition with your bank card… After the impact real estate loan, La Banque Postale is more committed by following its extra-financial objectives resulting from its status as a mission-driven company (since February 2022). A responsible finance offer that stands out by “four characteristics” specifies a press release:

  • Financing energy renovation: all current account deposits associated with an impact card contribute to the financing of real estate loans intended for the energy renovation of poorly performing housing, in particular thermal strainers.
  • Support from WWF which deploys programs to protect and restore biodiversity, through the payment of the entire additional annual card fee to the NGO.
  • An exclusive design in partnership with WWF France: the card features a unique design highlighting biodiversity.
  • And support for responsible consumption thanks to advice and tools which will be made available free of charge to holders.

Vincent Menvielle, marketing director of La Banque Postale, specifies, still in the press release:he launch of this impact card, co-constructed with our partner WWF France, constitutes a new milestone in La Banque Postale's strategy in favor of the just transition. It allows our clients to act in favor of the energy transition, through the allocation of their deposits towards the financing of our impact real estate loans, and to support an NGO deploying biodiversity projects. Véronique Andrieux, general director of WWF France continues by explaining that “theThe WWF supports the impact map in a global approach to accelerate the financing of the ecological transition. The card is part of our strategic partnership with La Banque Postale aimed at transforming its practices, and one of the axes of which is support for the emergence of more responsible offers. The impact bank card also helps support the actions of WWF France. This collaboration illustrates the collective commitment necessary between companies and organizations like WWF to address climate and ecological challenges, and contribute to the protection of biodiversity.”

A concrete commitment to the climate

In France, greenhouse gas emissions from the building sector account for 25% of overall emissions and there are 4.8 million thermal sieves in France in the 21 million main residences. An Independent Third Party Organization (OTI) will verify each year that deposits are properly allocated to these projects, and the results will be published on the Bank's website. Reserved for the first 100,000 customers in 2024/2025, the La Banque Postale impact card is available on the Visa Classic and Visa Premier card ranges at the current rates. The annual impact card contribution of an additional €5 will be entirely donated to WWF France, which deploys nature protection and restoration projects.
