The reopening of Notre-Dame is imminent: from the evening of Sunday December 8, individual visitors will be able to rediscover the Parisian cathedral which has regained its splendor five years after the devastating fire of April 15, 2019. A free online reservation system is set up to better manage the large flow of expected visitors, and will be available from Tuesday December 3, via the cathedral's website or the new mobile application.

► How to book?

The system allows you to reserve a time slot to visit Notre-Dame. Reservations will be made via a dedicated portal accessible from the cathedral's website or the mobile application. The day before, the day before or the same day of the visit, visitors will be able to reserve a slot from those available. Once the reservation is confirmed, a digital ticket will be sent by email.

Access to Notre-Dame will remain free and still possible without reservation, but “with a risk of longer queues, particularly during peak periods”warns the cathedral’s official website. This therefore strongly recommends online reservations in order to guarantee access in the chosen slot with a reduced waiting time.

Both the online reservation and the visit to the cathedral will be free.

► When will we be able to visit?

It will be possible to visit the cathedral from Sunday evening, December 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. These times may be changed for security reasons.

Notre-Dame will be accessible to visitors at specific times during the week following its reopening: from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Monday December 9 to Friday December 13, then from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the weekend of December 14 and December 15. From Monday December 16, return to normal. The cathedral will then welcome the faithful and visitors every day from 7:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
