Saints vs. Rams score: Updates from NFL game in New Orleans | Saints

The New Saints host the Los Angeles Rams at 3 p.m. on Sunday with the home team looking to extend its winning streak to three games under interim coach Darren Rizzi. You can follow here for the score and live updates.

The Rams beat the Saints 30-22 last year in Inglewood, California, in an NFL game that involved a couple of late touchdowns by New Orleans.

The Saints (4-7) have beat the Atlanta Falcons and the Cleveland Browns since Rizzi replaced Dennis Allen as the team’s head coach.

The Rams enter the game at 5-6 in a crowded situation in the NFC West. Los Angeles is 2-3 on the road this season.

UPDATED, 1:36 p.m.: Greetings from the Superdome, where we’re about 90 minutes away from the New Orleans Saints taking on the Los Angeles Rams.

This is a big one for the Saints, who are a win today away from re-entering the playoff discussion in earnest. A third straight win under interim coach Darren Rizzi also would signal that this team really is different since the firing of Dennis Allen and could make for an awfully interesting December.

A couple of things from the early games: The Falcons trail the Chargers 9-7 early in the second half, so a close game but potentially good news for the Saints. And the Commanders are all over the Titans, so New Orleans can’t get closer in the wild card chase today.

Ninety minutes from game time also means inactives, and the big decision for the Saints is whether center Erik McCoy is active after missing practice all week with a groin injury.

The report has just come in, and McCoy is NOT active. That’s not a good sign for the Saints, who will turn to Shane Lemieux at center. Lucas Patrick is also inactive, as is running back Jordan Mims (Jamaal Williams is back) and receiver Mason Tipton.
