“The board of directors of the company, meeting today under the chairmanship of John Elkann, accepted the resignation of Carlos Tavares”writes the group in a press release.

Mr. Tavares himself conceded at the end of July that Stellantis was going through a “very turbulent transition period” and that he expected to recover in the second semester.
His successor will be appointed in the first half of 2025. “In the meantime, a new temporary executive committee, chaired by John Elkann, will be established”adds the group.
