Dwayne Johnson has shared a shocking detail from Moana.
Johnson revealed that he wore an intricately designed bodysuit for his hulking appearance on Maui.
This detail was confirmed in an interview with Extra following the leak of photos that captured him in costume.
“That’s a suit that took a long time to put on,” the actor shared.
Johnson jokingly appreciated the interviewer, who asked if he had put on extra muscle, “I’m so happy that you said, ‘You bulked up,’ because when you said, ‘You bulked up,’ that means you couldn’t tell.”
Additionally, Johnson praised Oscar-winning makeup artist Joel Harlow (Star Trek) for his work, saying, “that is a couple of hours every day, of transforming, putting that on.”
Additionally, Johnson also talked about the leaked photos from the set, despite taking special precautions.
“We shot outside, and when those pictures surfaced, I was like, ‘S—, we got caught!’ We were putting up walls so there was no paparazzi, but they got in the boats and they started shooting pictures,” he stated.
