Cathy Hummels’ appearance on the “Dream Ship” has disappeared from the ZDF media library. The broadcaster now explains the background.
Mainz – “The ‘Dream Ship’ films are usually available in the ZDF media library for a year,” a spokeswoman for the station told t-online.de. Since the episode with Cathy Hummels was broadcast in November 2023 and was available in the media library a few days earlier, it has now been taken offline as scheduled.

However, not all older episodes of the popular ZDF series have disappeared. The episode “Vancouver” with Bruce Darnell (67), which was broadcast in spring 2023, will remain available in the media library until September 2025. The reason for this is: “The episode will be broadcast again on November 28th, 2024 and will therefore be available again in the media library for one year from September 23rd, 2024,” explains ZDF. According to this pattern, the episode with Cathy Hummels could theoretically be put online again – provided there is a TV repeat.
The episode with the former wife of Mats Hummels (35) caused a lot of discussion, but not in a positive sense. Her acting debut was heavily criticized on social media. “The worst acting performance this time for me is Cathy Hummels. And with “Dream Ship” the competition in the category is huge,” commented one viewer on the platform X.

Despite her role as “Juliane”, which was only seen for 170 seconds and did not even board the “dream ship” because she missed the flight, it was too much for the audience. Further comments were: “ZDF doesn’t give a shit about anything now” and “Please stop acting”. The episode, which also featured former professional boxer Axel Schulz (56), was generally not well received. The “Dream Ship” episode with Sandy Meyer-Wölden (41) also received a lot of criticism.
