Les Bleues without forcing. As part of their preparation for the 2025 Nations League, the France team quietly won against Nigeria (2-1) at the Raymond Kopa Stadium, this Saturday, November 30. A logical success built in the first period.
The application and conquering spirit of the French women during the first act were rewarded in the 29th minute by the inevitable Eugénie Le Sommer, who flat-footed Marie-Antoinette Katoto's back cross and at the same time scored his 94th goal for the selection.
The Blues thank the alumni
We found the Lyonnaise eight minutes later. The best scorer in the history of Les Bleues missed her touch of the ball in the area but Amel Majri, who was lurking there, took it from the left without asking any questions and made the break (2-0, 37'). Nigeria reduced the gap just before returning to the locker room through Onumonu (2-1, 48').
Nothing to panic the Blues. Laurent Bonadei's players, certainly without immense control, managed most of the second half. Pauline Peyraud-Magnin still had to work on Isah's shot (79'). Les Bleues will face Spain in Nice on December 3 for their final meeting of 2024.
