Buts : Lala (SP 12e), Pereira Lage (45e+1), Del Castillo (90e+2) for SB29 // Ouattara (85e) for Racing
The pirates board again.
After three consecutive defeats in all competitions, Stade Brestois returned to victory this Saturday against Strasbourg (3-1). The Finisterians also put their best foot forward, notably thanks to a largely controlled first period. Following a handball from Guéla Doué, Kenny Lala opened the scoring from the penalty spot (1-0, 12e). The SB29 did not let go of the accelerator pedal however since Mama Baldé (16e) and Romain Faivre (29e) put Đorđe Petrović to work with a cross shot and a low shot.
The Serbian goalkeeper of Racing deflected a cross-shot from Mathias Pereira Lage directly into his own net, before the goal was canceled for an offside position by the Brest winger (36e). The latter then did it again to double the stake just before the break (2-0, 45e+1). After another penalty, this time caused by Saïdou Sow, Petrović intervened against Ludovic Ajorque (52e) in order to leave his team alive. Reducing the gap through Abdoul Ouattara, thanks to yet another offering from Sebastian Nanasi (2-1, 85e)was finally eclipsed by the little festival of Romain Del Castillo, author of several dribbles on the right of the surface before finding the net in a forest of legs (3-1, 90e+2).
The Strasbourg soufflé still settled well.
