Henri Leconte, former tennis star, announced sad news on his social networks this Friday, November 29. Three days earlier, his mother, who passed on his passion for snowshoes to him, took her last breath.
With Yannick Noah, Henri Leconte is one of the best-known French people in world tennis. But if the former sportsman, now 61 years oldis known to everyone, two of his children also enjoy a certain notoriety. In 2007, his eldest son, Maxime, had indeed participated in the very first season of Secret Storyincluding Xavier, Tatiana and the triplets, big winners of this edition. 17 years later, it was his other son, Ulysse, who tried his luck on the famous TF1 reality TV, when he returned to our screens in 2024.
Each time, Henri Leconte showed unconditional support towards his children, all of whose projects he encourages. But on this Tuesday, November 26, the clan was mourned by sad news: as the former tennis court pro said three days later, his mother, the grandmother of Maxime and Ulysse, took her last breath.

It was in the caption of a photo of his mother during a tennis game that Henri Leconte shared the sad news on Instagram. “Mom, On this day of November 26, tYou left us as you wished, close to your loved ones, with dignity. You passed on to me your passion which I honored with determination without giving up. I love you for eternity”he wrote with dignity. A publication under which he obviously received numerous messages of encouragement, notably from Paul Belmondo – in the middle of a divorce from his wife Luana -, from the actor Philippe Bas, from the host Bruno Guillon, from the chef Christophe Michalak or even the former Miss France Linda Hardy, who wrote: “My sincere condolences Henri“.
