Emmanuel Macron predicted on Friday a “shock of hope” during the reopening of Notre-Dame which will be “as strong as that of the fire” in April 2019. “The Notre-Dame blaze was a national injury and you have was its remedy through will, through work, through commitment (…) You have achieved what we thought impossible”, launched the President of the Republic to the craftsmen present during this last site visit before the official reopening on December 7 and 8. The president had invested heavily in the reconstruction of the cathedral, committing in particular to having it completed within five years.
Censorship: Le Pen still far from giving it up despite Barnier's concessions
Despite Michel Barnier's concessions, notably on electricity, Marine Le Pen does not seem willing to give up censoring the government next week, multiplying warnings aimed at the Prime Minister whom she accuses of “precipitating the crisis financial”. The president of the RN group deemed it “not acceptable” that “Michel Barnier's latest announcements” on the electricity tax or corporate social contributions “are not financed by structural savings” and “aggravate an already abysmal deficit “. Michel Barnier responded on the sidelines of a trip to Limoges that he was not “in the state of mind” for an ultimatum but asked for “respect” and “dialogue”.
