Paula Botet takes the first race of the season in the IBU Cup with Idre Fjäll's sprint. The Vosgienne wins ahead of Chloé Chevalier and Anna Weidel.
Paula Botet confirms her excellent start to the season. Twice 4th during the Bessans races two weeks ago, the Vosgienne won during the opening sprint of the IBU Cup in Idre Fjäll. The 23-year-old biathlete is ahead of Chloé Chevalier by 13 seconds for a French double. The two women shot 10 out of 10, which allowed them to open up a significant gap with their pursuers.

The German Anna Weidel, bib 108, completes the podium 42 seconds from victory (9/10). Johanna Skotteheim is 4th, the Norwegians Erdal and Skogan follow while Camille Bened finishes 7th, she who won the sprint for the French selections in Bessans. For the ranking of the other Tricolores, Fany Betrand finished 17th. For her first at this level, Voldiya Galmace Paulin ranks 21st, Anaelle Bondoux is 25th,
Another sprint will take place on Saturday before a continuation on Sunday, to close this first stage of the IBU Cup.
