Firminy, one of the four ambassador cities, was able to rise to the challenge for this first evening of the 2024 Telethon.
The start was a little timid, shortly after 5 p.m., on a Place du Breuil surrounded by stands of local associations and animated by the Croq'notes band, the luminous stroll of the Exoticadanse troupe or even the singing tours of the young artists spotted on the set of The Voice Kids (Baptiste, from Saint-Chamond, and the Chambonnaire twins Meïssane and Méllina).

At 7 p.m., the arrival of the Sainte-Barbe parade, starting from the fire brigade museum, which drew the crowd to the Place du Breuil for the climb of the steps of the Saint-Firmin church, filmed in live by the France Télévisions teams.
The evening continued with music with several artists (Amine, Jessy Matador and Duo Félins) and the three Telethon challenges which allowed the Appelous to compete against the other ambassador cities.
The cold was a bit of a spoilsport, even if the festive atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the Appelous made it possible to play overtime.
