On 29 November 1924, exactly 100 years ago, Giacomo Puccini died, one of the most beloved Italian composers in the world who left us masterpieces such as “Madama Butterfly”, “La Bohème”, “Tosca”, “Turandot”, “La fanciulla del West” and many others. To his genius, on this important anniversary which is celebrated throughout the world, November 29th, the day on which the centenary of his death occurs, WOW Comics Space – Comics Museum of Milan dedicates an exhibition displaying tributes from some of the most important authors of Italian comics created specifically on commission by the museum itself: Milo Manara, Silver (Lupo Alberto), Silvia Ziche (Mickey Mouse and Lucrezia), Giuseppe Palumbo (Diabolik), Claudio Villa (Tex), Simone Bianchi (Marvel and DC Comics), Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika, Blasfamous), Lola Airaghi ( Dylan Dog, Brendon and Legs Weaver), Fabio Celoni (Mickey Mouse), Claudio Sciarrone (Mickey Mouse and Marvel), Fabiano Ambu (Bonelli), Adriano Carnevali (I Ronfi) and Sandro Dossi (I Smurfs). Thanks to the collaboration of Panini and Giunti, the two beautiful covers dedicated to Puccini of the special issue of Mickey Mousewith the cover designed by Paolo Motturaand the volume Paper Puccini designed by Michela Frare (Joints). Plus they will be on display some pages of the beautiful biography of Giacomo Puccini illustrated by the famous “ants” of Fabio Vettori.
