Amandine Chazot, six-time French stand-up paddle champion, has unfortunately died. Mother of a little boy, she was only 33 years old.

In a publication shared on Instagram, the organization indicates: “It is with immense sadness that the Brittany Surf League learns of the premature departure of Amandine Chazotan exceptional athlete and a source of inspiration for our entire community.“

Amandine Chazot worked at the hospital as a radiologist
Passionate about the ocean, she distinguished herself for several years practicing stand-up paddleboarding at a high level. During her career on the water, she was twice world vice-champion and six times French champion. Furthermore, she carried the Olympic flame during her visit to La Torche beach on June 7. And when she was not practicing her favorite sport, Amandine Chazot put on her white coat to work as a radiologist at the Cornouaille hospital in Quimper. A profession that she combined with her cancer, an illness which took her away and which she spoke about in January 2024: “Since the summer of 2021, I have been in treatment for advanced stage cancer, which cannot be cured and which is resistant to different treatments.“
