Mathias Vicherat, the former director of Sciences Po , sentenced to five months in prison for domestic violence

The former director of Sciences Po Paris, Mathias Vicherat, was sentenced on Friday November 29 to five months in prison by the Paris criminal court for domestic violence. His former partner, Anissa Bonnefont, was sentenced to eight months in prison, reports France Inter.

This conviction is accompanied by a ban on seeing each other for three years. On the other hand, an awareness training course has not been ordered. The former director of the Parisian school announced that he would appeal the decision.

They were both tried on October 24, 2024 for domestic violence of which they accused each other. Mathias Vicherat was on trial for two acts of willful violence against his ex-partner. Anissa Bonnefont was prosecuted for willful violence during the year 2023.
