It's a quiet weekend that will begin in France. According to Météo France forecasts, rain should be absent on Saturday and Sunday over almost the entire territory. Only the Breton tip should receive rain.
It is in the north-east of the country that it will be the least hot. Since Friday, this part of the country has seen the return of frost to the plains. Elsewhere, temperatures will often significantly exceed normal values for the season.
The sky will be blue or slightly overcast in the vast majority of regions. It is in the eastern half of the country that it will be clearest. The northeast quarter is expected to remain under clouds and fog throughout the day.
After the morning frosts, the thermometer will go from 3°C to 8°C maximum in a vast north-eastern quarter of France. Such levels will be quite close to seasonal averages, sometimes 2°C or 3°C lower, in the most eastern regions. In other regions it will be between a little less than 15°C and a little more than 15°C, or even close to 20°C in the most south-western areas. The values will then be several degrees higher than average, up to 7°C or 8°C more in the hottest regions.
The sky will remain clear in the country during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Only the westernmost areas of Brittany will experience showers. In the Northeast, the drop in temperatures below 0 could make the roads slippery.
The day will be quite similar to the day before. The sun will be even more present. Clouds are most likely to persist in the Northwest. In Brittany, showers will reach almost the entire region. Elsewhere, the sky will be clear or moderately overcast.
Temperatures will be almost identical to those on Saturday, sometimes gaining two or three degrees. The demarcation between the coldest and warmest regions will move back towards the North-East. Except in the regions close to Germany, the thermometer could still gain 2°C or 3°C between the afternoon and late evening.
On Monday, a band of rain would cross the country throughout the day, sparing only the South-East. Temperatures would exceed 10°C everywhere except in the border regions of Germany. On Tuesday, the rains will become more widespread and heavier. Temperatures should remain around the same level as Monday before starting to drop during the afternoon.
