The program “Notre-Dame reveals itself”, broadcast Friday on France 2, captured the cathedral in a renewed light on the occasion of President Emmanuel Macron's last site visit.
The traces of soot have given way to an immaculate cathedral. After five years of titanic work, the restored interior of Notre-Dame de Paris was presented, Friday, November 29, in the program “Notre-Dame se reveals” broadcast by France 2 on the occasion of the last site visit of President Emmanuel Macron.
The secret surrounding the renovated interior of Notre-Dame had been kept with the greatest care, arousing speculation and hopes among the faithful and admirers of the heritage. After showing patience, spectators were able to admire a luminous nave, the new framework, the crossing of the transept, the choir and the chapels of the building.
You will have to be patient to come and observe the show more closely. The monument will reopen to the public from December 8, but the first places are likely to be quickly taken by storm: half of the French plan to visit Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral after its reopening.
This end-of-construction visit is also an opportunity for the Head of State to honor all those who worked on the reconstruction of the cathedral over the last five years: the Compagnons du Devoir, but also the patrons and contributors to the site. At the end of Emmanuel Macron's visit, the artisans must be awarded the “diploma Notre-Dame”, intended for “certify the high quality of their skills”, explains the Elysée.
