According to G4 Media sources, each of these volunteers manages one of the hundreds of candidate support accounts on TikTok. The latter have gained momentum in recent months by constantly publishing video clips targeted at different aspects of Georgescu’s speeches.
While some accounts only have a few dozen followers and content that only reaches a few people, others, with a constant publishing strategy and supported by the TikTok algorithm, reach millions of likes.
By multiplying the comments mentioning the name of “their candidate” under other videos, in particular videos posted by other candidates, they managed to move up in the search results.
