UEFA Europa League returns today with matchday 5. After yesterday’s Champions League matches, it’s time for the European competition at the second level, with teams like Galatasaray, Ajax Amsterdam, Athletic Bilbao, Tottenham, Olympique Lyonnais and Manchester United.
All matches will be played today, Thursday 28 November, and as with the Champions League, it is the fifth of eight matchdays in the competition phase of the new format, which means that clubs will secure their places in the rankings: the first eight will qualify directly for the Round of 16, while those between 25 and 36 are eliminated.
