Jean Dujardin in the spotlight: a medal of recognition from the City of Brussels

This Thursday, November 28, the city of Brussels pays a special tribute to the French actor Jean Dujardin through two events which will mark this special day.

During an official ceremony, Philippe Close, Mayor of the City, and Delphine Houba, Alderwoman of Culture, presented the prestigious Medal of Recognition of the City of Brussels. A distinction which highlights the unique link that the actor has forged with the Belgian capital, as well as his contribution to its international cultural influence.

Philippe Close, Mayor of the City of Brussels, had already spoken through several media about this distinction: “For several years, Jean Dujardin has maintained a strong link with our capital, which he has often chosen for the filming and preview presentation of his films. Because he regularly expresses his love for our city, our culture, our warm atmosphere and our unique diversity in the world, this recognition is a beautiful symbol for us. »

This award highlights a relationship that goes beyond simple professional collaborations. Jean Dujardin has often praised the friendly and cosmopolitan atmosphere of Brussels, thus helping to strengthen its image around the world.

“Through his unique outlook and his affection for our City, Jean Dujardin contributes to promoting our heritage and promoting our culture to an international audience. Thank you to him for flying the colors of Brussels high throughout the world” declared Delphine Houba, Alderwoman for Culture of the City of Brussels.

But the event had an additional surprise in store for residents and visitors to our capital. Indeed, in homage to the iconic character of Zorro, which Jean Dujardin plays in a new series soon to be broadcast on RTL tvi and RTL play, Manneken-Pis now wears a new costume inspired by the famous masked vigilante. A festive and original nod that highlights both the humor and creativity that the capital knows how to demonstrate to honor its guests.
