A decree, the publication of which is announced as “imminent”specifies the framework for electrification aid, and this will have immediate application, without waiting for December 31.
According to our information, in this text, assistance with the purchase of electric scooters (new window) disappears. “The ecological bonus for cycles, two-three wheels and motorized quadricycles is eliminated”confirm several government sources on Wednesday, November 27. This aid was valid for the purchase of a new electric model, and their amount fixed according to the maximum net power of the engine (between 900 and 1,900 euros of aid depending on the case, details here (new window)).
Ecological bonus reduced, leasing maintained
Already on Tuesday, government sources had confirmed to TF1 information published in the newspaper The Echoes : the ecological bonus for the purchase of electric cars is maintained, but revised downwards. “An ecological bonus for the acquisition of a new electric car will thus be maintained for all households, with an amount of 4,000 euros for households in the first five income deciles, 3,000 euros for households in deciles 6 to 8 of income, and 2000 euros for households in income deciles 9 and 10″a government source had specified.
For utility vehicles, the bonus disappears, but the French will be able to finance the purchase thanks to energy saving certificates.
