She has one success after another. We no longer present Louane who has released her fifth album, called Solo, once again delivering compositions that are as touching as they are catchy. On the occasion of the release of this new record, Louane looked back on certain decisions made in her career.
Louane very close to her little sister
But she also confided a lot about her family and in particular her sister Louise to whom she owes a lot. When she was little, Louane hated school because she was bullied at school. During this difficult period, the singer could count on the support of her little sister. “The students were not nice because they found me strange. I understand it: in the early 2000s, we did not talk about mental health, even less that of children,” she says in an interview with Marie Claire.
Louane tells how her sister, despite her young age, was a great help to her. “My little sister protected and saved me. From others and from myself. When I was bullied in middle school, she stepped in to defend me. In 4th grade, I was ashamed to be rescued by my sister who was in 6th grade, do you want to laugh? She is now studying psychology,” she also confided during this interview.

This decision which changed the life of Louane's sister
And if Louane's singer's name is this, it's also a nod to her little sister. In real life, Louane is actually called Anne and her little sister is called Louise. The singer therefore decided to merge their two first names for her musical career. “I had five minutes to find my stage name, and it was her that I thought of. Above all. At that time, she was the person who mattered the most,” says Louane.
But the singer also talks about the difficulties encountered by her sister when faced with this choice of stage name. “My little sister had a very bad experience, and that’s normal: I took a piece of her identity without her authorization,” Louane also admitted to Marie Claire.
