UEFA Champions League: the program for the 5th day
UEFA Champions League: the program for the 5th day

The poster child for the 5th day of the UEFA Champions League is undoubtedly the duel between Brahim Diaz’s Real Madrid, title holders who have already stumbled twice, and Liverpool, leader of the Premier League standings and scoring on the water in C1, Wednesday November 27 at Anfield (9 p.m.).

Only 18th out of 36 with 6 points to their credit, Real lost Vinicius Jr to a hamstring injury. Opposite, Liverpool seem better in place with Mohamed Salah in great shape, but whose contractual situation is however unclear.

The Stade Brestois of Ibrahim Salah, sensation of the season in C1, goes to the field of FC Barcelona this Tuesday… a club that it is ahead of in the ranking. 4th with 10 points, actually has one point more than Lamine Yamal’s Barça. The French club, assured of competing at least in the play-offs, will approach the meeting without pressure.

This evening, we will especially have to keep an eye on Robert Lewandowski (99 goals) who can become the third player in history to exceed the threshold of 100 goals in C1 after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

We will also have to keep an eye on the clash between Adam Aznou’s Bayern Munich and Achraf Hakimi’s Saint-Germain, also expected for this evening at 9 p.m. at the Allianz Arena.

In great form in the Bundesliga of which it is leader, Bayern is currently content with 17th place in C1 with 6 points. The Bavarians want to win their next four matches to avoid the play-off box. Paris seems affordable with its lackluster 25th place (4 pts) and virtually eliminated. This German move is therefore crucial for the French.

Hakimi and his team will certainly not be eliminated in the event of defeat, but will be forced to say goodbye to direct qualification and seeded status in the play-offs.

Other posters may be of interest; Manchester City, a giant which remains on five defeats in a row, faces the modest Feyenoord, this Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium, still at 9 p.m.

Eliesse Ben Seghir’s AS Monaco, on a favorable waiver, faces Benfica, tomorrow at 9 p.m. at the Stade Louis II, while Ismael Saibari’s PSV Eindhoven, in difficulty, is opposed to Shakhtar Donetsk, 28th and no better loti, at the same time at the Philips Stadion.
