INTERVIEW. During the first part of the review of season 19 of L'amour est dans le pré, Mickaël proposed to Nadia. For TV Actu, the farmer said a little more about the behind the scenes of this announcement and the preparation for the ceremony.
Big surprise in Love is in the meadow ! During the broadcast of the first part of the review of season 19, on Monday November 25, 2024, Mickaël proposed to Nadia. Between the dairy cow breeder and his suitor, everything happened very quickly. It was in front of a stunned Karine Le Marchand that the farmer got down on one knee. Exclusively for TV News, Mickaël, accompanied by Nadia, returned to this unexpected announcement and said a little more about the guests and the planned organization.
TV News: During the assessment, you took the plunge Mickaël by asking Nadia to marry you. Was this planned on your part?
Michael: I made my decision in August. When we took our trip to Tyrol in July, we created this bond and we knew that our relationship was united. I knew the reckoning was coming. And at one point, I said to myself: 'We have to go all the way.' Because I am someone who cannot live without a real relationship. The marriage proposal, for me, was something important. It's part of my values. Since Nadia is a big person, I wanted to do something big. So, I took advantage of the results to tell him. Because if I had made this statement at another time, for me, it might not have had the same value as on the balance sheet. She didn't expect it at all. No one expected it because I didn't let anyone know. Only the program director knew that.
What was Karine Le Marchand’s reaction?
Michael: Karine Le Marchand didn't know either. Off camera, she simply said: 'But why didn't you tell me?' She would have liked to be in the know but I wanted her reaction to remain authentic. Somehow, I also wanted to thank her. When we did the portrait, she gave her all and thanks to this portrait, I had the pleasure of meeting Nadia.
Nadia : She was very happy. She held back her tears and the whole team on site was very moved too.
Isn't this marriage proposal too premature?
Michael: For me, when things need to get done, they get done. When I make a decision, I know what I want, I know what I don't want and then I knew what I wanted.
Nadia : As the weeks went by, I was certain that this is the man I have always been looking for. From the moment we love each other deeply, to live the rest of my life by his side, I said yes, of course. I have no fear about saying to myself: 'It's early, not too early, etc.'. I went through the whole process being aware that I had to change my place of living, that I had to organize myself completely differently to be sure that I could live with him. So afterward, marriage comes naturally.
Michael: She explains it very well. She makes the decision to come and settle in with me because when we do Love in the meadowit is not the farmer who travels. Nadia knew very well what she was getting into.
Is the ceremony already planned?
Nadia : No, the date has not yet been set.
Michael: We will put a timetable, but there are a lot of things to manage at the moment. I have a fairly complicated professional life. I have a big project underway. So, we will wait for the family's feedback. And then, we'll let things settle down and put everything in place. We have an idea of the locations, but for the moment, it remains confidential.
Are you going to invite the other farmers of the season?
Michael: Yes, it is planned.
Are you planning to film the event with M6?
Michael: We haven't discussed that yet. Our love has been filmed so far, so if our wedding is filmed, why not?
