Asked about the ideal city for a marriage proposal, the actor shared his anecdote during his request to Marie-Julie Baup : “It was in Honfleur. She said yes! Because she didn’t want to, and I said to myself, I’m going to set the scene for her,” he confided. But when it came to the consequences of this request, Lorànt Deutsch did not evade the truth.

The 49-year-old host confirmed his separation from actress Marie-Julie Baup, mother of their three children. “Ah well yes, great, three children. But we separated, but we are still very friends,” he declared frankly. The actor took the opportunity to express his pride in his ex-partner who is today a recognized actress: “She is sublime, you may have seen her in the cinema, in the film about Aznavour. She plays Edith Piaf.” She also played the role of Agathe in Parents in perpetuity. Marie-Julie Baup is laureate of a Molière in 2023.

The relationship between Lorànt Deutsch and Marie-Julie Baup dates back to 2005. The two artists met while performing together in the play Amadeus. However, it was only in 2009 that they sealed their union on the Ile de Ré. The couple welcomed three children: Sissi (13 years old), Colette (11 years old) and Laslo (9 years old).

Their relationship was built on a deep friendship, as Lorànt Deutsch recounts: “We knew each other before we wanted each other.” Today, although they have taken different paths, this complicity continues: “We were friends before we were lovers and now we’re friends again,” he assured.
