Michael Weinmann will be the new Head of Media Relations at Swiss from March 1, 2025. Weinmann is a well-founded expert in aviation and, in addition to his journalistic experience, also has a personal connection to aviation: As the holder of a pilot’s license, he not only has theoretical knowledge, but also practical experience in aviation, as Swiss writes in a press release.
During his journalistic career, he has covered numerous aviation topics and communicated them to a wide audience – from technological innovations to the introduction of new aircraft to topics of sustainability and air traffic management.
This combination of journalistic expertise and understanding of the aviation industry makes him the ideal person for this position.
Michael Weinmann looks back on a varied career in journalism. In 2009 he started his career at Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) as presenter of the news program “Schweiz aktuell”.
He also worked as an editor in the domestic specialist editorial department and, as an expert at SRF, was particularly concerned with aviation topics. He also commented on Formula 1 races for SRF. Michael Weinmann is 43 years old, married and father of two children.
