Elena Lasconi would have entered the second round of the presidential elections, after obtaining 18% of the votes of the Romanians in the country. However, the results of the exit polls do not include the votes of the diaspora.
The USR candidate for the position of president, who according to the exit polls carried out at the national level is in second place in the preferences of the voters who voted in the country, with approximately 18%, sends a message to the delegates from all political formations, asking them to pay attention to the counting of votes, until the last ballot.
“I want to thank all Romanians who voted. Hope is alive in Romania, I thank all those who voted for me and I convey to you that for me every vote is a responsibility. I want to thank my colleagues and volunteers who knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors, talked to millions of Romanians. (…) The score after the stars is very close. Please be very careful! We are not happy, let's enjoy tomorrow! But great attention in all polling stations, at every ballot, every vote counts! It is essential to stay there and defend the Romanians' votes! And when I say this, I mean all the delegates from all political parties, not just the delegates from the USR”, stated Elena Lasconi.
