Louis Chedid
Album : Dreamer, Dreamer
“I've been writing and composing songs for a while now, arranging them in my home studio using guitars, pianos, synthesizers, or virtual instruments.
Every time I embark on a new recording adventure, I wonder if I will be able to climb this mountain, but above all if I will still enjoy it. Because if you don't have that feeling, there's no point in trying.
But no, I am always pleasantly surprised by the excitement that comes over me when I play the guitar or the piano, when I find a melody that catches me or when I scratch the paper in search of these words which will make the sounds ring. notes that I composed.
People often say to me: “With the career you have, you no longer have anything to prove”. I tell them it’s quite the opposite.
Each new album must be measured against songs like “Hold-up, La Belle, T’as beau pas être beau, So-so-it, The absent are always wrong, Anne, my sister Anne, You can count on me, We never tell the people we love enough that we love them, Everything we want in life“.
The bar is getting higher and higher. And being able to jump it is no easy feat.
Fortunately, pleasure, desire and desire save us from the pangs of creation. This idea of discovering the rare pearl. To make the song that will touch my peers deeply, that will make them move, smile, dance, think too. This treasure hunt still excites me. I would even go so far as to say more and more.
For “Dreamer, Dreamer”. I wrote around forty songs in two years and threw away 70% of them.

A nostalgic and modern musical palimpsest, I Don't Care if it Burns sounds like a love song punctuated with rapid rhythms and pointillist notes, a musical suite of luminous cinematic sets composed under the purple sky of Los Angeles, where Lucky Love has taken up residence.
