“It didn't work when it needed to. I should have been on pole, but at least I had pace, which was positive. But the race is going to be difficult, victory is out of reach” confirmed the seven-time world champion.
“I'm really far behind so I'll see what I can do from there, degradation is going to be key and we had an eventful race here last year” continued the Briton, before however saluting the level of the W15 and the pole position of George Russell.
“That's how it is, it's been a good weekend so far, so I'm going to do my best tomorrow, but congratulations to George. The conditions were great, the weather was nice and cool and the weather was great all weekend.”
