In this documentary, the musician confides as much about her successes as about her flaws. She particularly evokes the particular context in which she met her husband.
An unexpected love at first sight
To stay in the spotlight, Vitaa devoted herself fully to her career. Other aspects of his life therefore took a back seat, such as his love life. In the documentary, the young woman says: “When I meet my husband, it’s the worst time for me to start a relationship, I don’t want to be in a relationship at all”. Hicham Bendaoud was introduced to him by a mutual friend of the couple. The latter had used the excuse of testing a racing car to justify the meeting. A calculated move which initially embarrassed the artist. She confides: “I’m so embarrassed, I’m like, why is he lending me a car and there’s a guy in it?”. But the feeling of embarrassment quickly gave way to love at first sight. The musician specifies: “We met in May 2009 and we got married in November. It happened very, very quickly”. After uniting, the couple gave birth to Liham, born in August 2011. In October 2014, their second son was born: Adam. Long later, on April 10, 2022, Noa, the first little girl of the siblings, was born.
Who is Hicham Bendaoud, Vitaa's husband?
Manager and producer, Hicham Bendaoud works today in collaboration with his wife. It was alongside his father that he experienced his first connection with the music industry. In the documentary, this father explains: “I always went to the markets with my father since I was a teenager. I didn't have school holidays, I didn't have weekends. My father sold oriental music in the markets. I grew up in this relationship to music, it’s something that sells.”
