This week, snow appeared in many French cities. Thus, Météo-France has placed 40 departments on yellow “snow-ice” vigilance for the day of Saturday.
Vigilance remains essential. While the first snowflakes on the plains have fallen on many French towns since Thursday, vigilance will remain essential at the start of the weekend. Indeed, although temperatures will gradually rise throughout the weekend, Météo-France has still placed 40 departments on yellow alert for Saturday.
Here are the departments concerned: Aisne, Ardennes, Aube, Calvados, Cher, Côte-d'Or, Doubs, Eure, Eure-et-Loir, Jura, Loir- et-Cher, Loiret, Manche, Marne, Haute-Marne, Mayenne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Nièvre, Oise, Orne, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Sarthe, Paris, Seine-Maritime, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, the Somme, Vosges, Yonne, Territoire de Belfort, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val-d’Oise.
This yellow vigilance will be in place from midnight and will end around noon this Saturday, according to Météo-France forecasts. Indeed, from this Saturday, temperatures will rise again and snowflakes will stop falling in the majority of the departments concerned.
After a weekend where the weather should become milder, the weather will alternate between showers and sunshine next week. Temperatures will be within seasonal norms.
