The demands of the railway workers
The railway workers denounce the SNCF TER Occitanie management and its management of the 2025 transport plan which provides for a 24% increase in rail service with only 11% additional staff. “The company is asking to make more trains with fewer human resources,” denounces Nicolas Sarrat. An increase which according to them will have direct consequences on safety: “There is an issue with railway safety since the concentration of drivers will be reduced by their daily workload”, he specifies.
