After the passage of the Caetano storm, several railway lines are experiencing disruptions in the West and in Ile-de-France. The SNCF indicates that its teams are mobilized to restore traffic “as quickly as possible”.
If the Caetano storm “has now left the country” according to Météo-France this Friday, it continues to put transport in difficulty. Rail is not spared while the SNCF indicates that this winter episode “still disrupts rail traffic mainly in Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Ile-de-France due to numerous tree falls”.
“SNCF Réseau agents are mobilized to intervene, clear the tracks and allow traffic to resume as quickly as possible,” assures the railway company.
Traffic interrupted in Normandy, gradual recovery in Pays de la Loire
In detail, traffic is completely interrupted in Normandy, at least “until noon, time to pass the reconnaissance trains and carry out clearances and repairs”, specifies the SNCF.

In the Pays de la Loire region, traffic was able to resume on Thursday evening between Nantes and Angers and will gradually resume this Friday morning between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire and Nantes and Clisson. However, they remain interrupted on the Nantes-Saint Gilles, Nantes-Pornic, Saint-Nazaire-Le Croisic, Clisson-La Roche sur Yon-Les sables d'Olonne and Nantes-Châteaubriant lines. The SNCF expects a return to normal on these connections at the end of the day.
Further south, in New Aquitaine, “reconnaissances continue this morning for a gradual resumption until midday” of the lines stopped on Thursday, reports the SNCF.
Finally, in Ile-de-France, disruptions were reported on line P of the Transilien between Tournan and Coloummiers, on part of line L and on line U “due to trees on the tracks”.
